Brushing technique, explained with a pen

·

3 min

Hold the brush like a pen, angle it at the gumline, and slow down. Three changes that matter more than the brush.

Most people brush hard and fast. Gums prefer the opposite.

Hold it like a pen

A pen grip makes it almost impossible to scrub too hard. Try it tonight and notice how much lighter it feels.

Aim at the gumline

Tilt the bristles about 45 degrees toward the gums and make small circles. That is where plaque collects and where bleeding starts.

Two minutes, slowly

Split your mouth into quarters and give each thirty seconds. A timer helps more than any new brush.
