What we see through loupes

·

5 min

The magnifying glasses we wear are not for show. They change how small a problem we can catch.

Dental loupes resting on glasses

If you have sat in our chair you have seen the glasses with small lenses mounted on the front. They are loupes, and they magnify about three times.

Why it matters

A crack line, the edge of an old filling, the first sign of decay between teeth: at normal size these are easy to miss. Magnified, they are obvious.

Seeing more clearly also means removing less tooth. We can clean out exactly what needs to go and leave the rest.
